If two heads are better than one, then what about two scooters?

Lily's Bungy Jump

Ahhhh! (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap) Ahhhhh! Lily, my crazy sister had just jumped off a bridge. I know what you're thinking; no she is not dead and no she is not seriously injured. She was bungy jumping, geez, did you think my sister would be stupid enough to do that? Don't answer that question. She was still shaking when she came back and me and my mom were still crying. Lily said she was going to do it again. I promise you that I won't ever do it.

Stinky Saturday

Last weekend I went to Hanmer Springs Holiday Park. Kitchen Cabin #6 was great, it even had a TV. The only bad thing was there were NO BATHROOMS.

My Mom told me that if I needed anything, just knock on the wall.

“Good night everyone”, said Mom. “Tomorrow’s hiking and swimming day.” Mom turned out the lights and it got quiet really quick.

Well, about an hour later, I woke up. Of course, I had to use the restroom. So I got out of bed, knocked on the wall, and whispered “Mom I have to use the toilet.”

“Who’s there?” asked Mom, jumping out of bed. I guess I really scared her!

In the morning, we went on a hike to Dog Stream Waterfall. It was really steep, and really long. Next time, I'll just take a helicopter. I was glad when we got back to town.

After lunch, we went to the Hot Springs. There were hot and stinky. I think the sulfur makes them stink. I was relaxed until Dad got up and went to the super-hot pool (40 degrees C). I followed him, but I regretted it. It smelled so bad that even if you had an air purifier it would still smell like dead fish.

We all took showers that night.

Ilam (HAM) Primary School

I am so tired. I am swimming at school and it is so hard. We had the meanest teacher the second day. She wouldn’t let us have any fun. We found out she was a substitute, and we have a much nicer teacher than her now. We hardly do any hard work and most of school is recess. Uniforms. We have to wear uniforms. They make me feel like I’m in prison; it’s horrible, I tell you, horrible.

We call it Ham school because one day I thought the sign said HAM and not ILAM.
And I really like Ham. -Abby

Welcome to my trip blog

This blog will record some of my adventures in New Zealand. Right now, we are in Christchurch, on the south island, and I am finishing up Year 4 at Ilam Primary School.
